I was up in London today and visited the Forbidden Planet store over at Shaftesbury Avenue. I don't buy anywhere near the maount of Sci-Fi memorabilia than I did when I was much younger but I was impressed by some of the things they had there - in particualr the huge selection of Anime DVDs.

The prices varied from "I can get that cheaper on the Internet" to the occasional "actually that's not bad". I bought a DVD of Street Fighter Alpha: Generations for a fiver. HADUKEN!!

I also picked up Millenium Actress for a fiver from another store.

If you don't already know, I love anime and can probably watch just about anime you can name (except some of the disturbingly dodgy stuff perhaps) - I've been into anime since I was about 13 and a mate leant me 'Ultimate Teacher' (which is very bizarre but funny!) - I enjoyed the style and the sense of humour, as well as the fact that here was something animated and clearly not meant for kids!

Since then I've seen (and bought!) loads of anime. Right now I'm waiting for a shipment of 9 anime DVDs to be delivered. I certainly won't be short of things to watch for a while!

I guess it begs the question: can you watch too much anime? Right now, my answer would be that I just don't think you can! :-D
